Painted Elsa Window by darthmer-mer Painted Elsa Window by darthmer-mer
Our church had a very, very old building that recently replaced all the windows (from like 1930) and as a fund raiser, they'll be selling all the vintage windows. So to help, I was asked to show what people can do with said windows. Since everyone seems to love her, I painted Elsa animation cel style on one of them. It was really fun and a very different thing than I'm used to doing. It's approximately 30 inches by 28 inches. I did use one of the Frozen Coloring Book pages (thanks to the Little One) as a reference for this image to make her look more Disneyesque.  Frozen and Elsa belong to Disney.

What kind of stuff would you all do with old windows??

This looks super cool! I think it would be cool to use an old window and a shadow box frame with a cool picture as the back ground and find stuff to put in it. Like an old barn scene or a beach scene or something.

I'd try to drip drop clear epoxy or resin (hm, have to think some more about the medium) on the panes so it always look like it's raining in one room - and let the sun shine through in changing tiny points of light as it goes across the sky. If I were craftier, I'd even find a way to place the drops in a non-obvious pattern that creates wonderful shadowplays as the light changes.

This is simply amazing. I wish I could paint as well as you. The amount of detail you put into it is top notch. I would love to see you paint a stained glass window style with Anna and Elsa.
